HD 104985 Giraffe point
This star is one of the corner stars of the Giraffe. This star is the mounth or nose of the Giraffe. This star is a sixth magnitude star.It can also be seen sometimes with the naked eye.Since the Constellation lines are not of few completed,I'd like the suggest this name.Even though this Constellation is not as famous as Orion and Scorpio,I hope many people will learn about this Constellation through this project.I would be very happy if the name "Gireffe point"were selected and many people used this name.

HD 104985 Kindi
Abu Yusuf Yaqub Ibn-Ishaq al-Kindi, born in Kufa (Iraq), and died in Baghdad (Iraq) - (800-870) - was a pivotal figure in the transmission of greek science into the Islamic World. A polymath, he left approximately 260 treatises on various scientific and philosophical subjects, including optics, astronomy, arithmetic, geometry, medicine, music, and metaphysics.
Kindi arrived in Baghdad, the capital of the Islamic Realm, during the reign of the Abbassides Caliph Mamun, when the Greco-Arabic translation movement was in its early stages.
Although he is remembered primarily as "the philosopher of the Arabs", Kindi was active in many areas of scientific research. His work is significant in the history of astronomy. He founded the philosophical program of study, centering on the works of Aristotle, without which the pursuit of Greek‐inspired astronomy, and the many contributions made by islamic theoretical astronomers, would have been impossible. He taught that philosophical knowledge can be acquired only through years of sustained study.

Kindi began the systematic formulation of a scientific arabic terminology based on greek concepts. This idiom formed the groundwork for the later philosophical and scientific contributions of Farabi, Ibn-Sina, Ghazali, Ibn-Rushd, and others. And through latin translations of the 12th century, Kindi's influence also extended into Europe.
HD 104985 b Adami
Abu Ali al-Husayn Ibn-Muhammad al-Adami, Baghdad (circa 925). Adami is an astronomer noted for his work on instruments. Ibn-al-Adami, presumably his son, wrote an influential astronomical handbook with tables (zīj) that was based on indian sources. Adami is the author of a work on sundials, and indeed there is an extant in Paris manuscript by him that deals with vertical sundials and contains universal auxiliary tables that are used to simplify calculations. These enabled the drawing of lines for vertical sundials inclined to the local meridian at any desired angle for any latitude. Biruni tells us in his work on astrolabes that Adami was the first person to construct a " disc of eclipses" for demonstrating solar and lunar eclipses.
His son Ibn-al-Adami was famous for a zij entitled "Naẓm al‐iqd ", who published it in 949/950. Said al-Andalusi (died: 1070) said that this zij was based on the indian methods contained in the so‐called Sindhind, a sanskrit work translated into arabic by Fazari.

HD 104985 Kurepi
Kurepi is a simple anagram created from the name of the Greek philosopher Epicurus (German: Epikur). Epicurus expands the horizon of human beings by focusing on the vastness of the universe. The negligible role our existence plays should not scare us, but we should concentrate more on how to succeed in life and how to organize the coming day. The suggested name therefore stands for scientific awareness and consequential moralities.
HD 104985 b Keposkurepi
Kepos is the garden where Epicurus founded his school. It was a meeting place for his followers coming from all walks of life and he lived there with his students. Sharply contrary to the dominant conventions he accepted married couples, women and slaves as students in his symposia. The suggested name therefore stands for an open and tolerant mentality.

HD 104985 b Meztli
In Aztec mythology is the name given to the god who became the goddess of the moon. Metztli, Meztli, or Metzi was a god or goddess of the moon, the night, and farmers. He/she was probably the same deity as Yohaulticetl and Coyolxauhqui and the male moon god Tecciztecatl; like the latter, he/she feared the sun because he/she feared its fire. Also referred to as the lowly god of worms who failed to sacrifice himself to become the sun, and became the moon instead, his face darkened by a rabbit.
Some stories speak of a romantic relationship between Meztli and Tonatiuh .

Both names are easy to pronounce in many languages and keep an astronomical relationship between them and are not used in any astronomical catalog, we believe are good candidates as names for the distant sun and its exoplanet.

HD 104985 IHATOV
IHATOV means a utopia named by MIYAZAWA Kenji (1896-1933), who is a famous Japanese poet and author of children’s literature. He was born in Iwate-prefecture and wrote a beautiful and impressive children’s literature, “Ginga Tetsudo No Yoru (Night on the Galactic Railroad)”. HD 104985 b KOHAKU
KOHAKU is the Japanese Name of Amber (a kind of jewelry) mainly produced in Iwate-prefecture in Japan. A Japanese famous author of children’s literature MIYAZAWA Kenji liked it very much. Please imagine that the color of the planet HD104985b is amber.

Young Astronauts Club Mizusawa Z Chapter is situated at Iwate-prefecture in northern part of Japan. We discussed the names of exoplanets at the regular meetings in this January and April. Children selected this star pair because this star pair is the first exoplanet which a Japanese astronomer discovered. They also named the pair considering their stand points:
They live in Iwate-prefecture, and they like looking the Milkyway. They love MIYAZAWA Kenji who is a famous Japanese poet and author of children’s literature, and who was born in Iwate-prefecture. It is famous that MIYAZAWA Kenji named a utopia “ IHATOV” which might be originated in Iwate prefecture. We think the star pair HD104986 and its planet would be a utopia.
The name of the planet “KOHAKU” (AMBER) is mainly produced in Kuji area in Iwate-prefecture. The fact became famous by a Japanese TV drama “ AMACHAN” which was on air in 2013. We believe that “ KOHAKU” would be the most beautiful jewel produced in Iwate prefecture (IHATOV). We hope KOHAKU would shine in the color of Amber around the central star “IHATOV”. Children member of the Mizusawa Z Chapter originally preferred “AMBER” to “KOHAKU” because AMBER is a very famous English name and many people in the world may understand the meaning of it easily. However, “AMBER” is used as the name of the minor planet 2933. So we decided to use “KOHAKU” instead of “AMBER”.
